See how we redesigned our client’s website to connect with its visitors.

Tribe Design overhauled The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston old and outdated website. Along with a new eye-catching design, we changed the content management system (CMS) to the popular WordPress, allowing the client to easily update and make changes to the site. We heavily customized their new site giving them better access and management to their events calendar and the site’s content.

“Staff and clients alike are thrilled about our new website! I have received great feedback that our new design is much more appealing and user-friendly.

Our primary goal for the new website was to focus on a new client’s point of entry—helping someone who is new to us (and may be feeling confused and worried)—to feel they are welcome and can easily access the help and information they seek. That resulted in the new home page having a design that connects—upfront, at the top—to many types of newcomers, with a variety of needs. Information about our history, mission and other business is located at the bottom, for our users who are more familiar with our purpose and programs.

We also aimed to make the site more accessible to community members who occasionally visit our beautiful venue, which we accomplished by featuring upcoming events, teasers and photos in the center of the page, with links that offer more information. Our flexibility in offering value-added content has greatly increased, by using both this central space (for feature articles) as well as posts (with news updates) that also link to Facebook and Twitter.

Tribe Design has been hugely supportive to our mid-size nonprofit with a big vision and limited I.T. staff. They have been instructive and patient as we learned the ins-and-outs of setting up our site to help us grow and achieve our greater vision over the next few years. Now we feel ready and confident about implementing the next stage of our full social media plan!”
